Week 1
HI!!!!!!
My name is Sindel the Sock and oh my do I have things to tell you!!!
We arrived in Toronto on time and had a scrumptious meal at Cafe Sheli. We then boarded the buses and arrived at Camp Leah Rivka and met our counselors, and boy were they happy to see us!! When we saw the rooms I thought we were in a 5 star hotel, but I was wrong, we were in a 6 star hotel!!!
Guess what? We made history on Wednesday morning at the first flag raising ever in CLR history!!! On Thursday we played musical chairs with a twist and wow did they make us run. Back and forth from the bunkhouses to the hill with toothpaste on our noses!!! Oh my!!! I have another toe sticking out of me from all that running!!!
Oh, and if you think I forgot how it feels to be on a bus, on Thursday we were back on again!! But this time we were going on not 1, but 2 trips!! fun, no? Well first we went bowling in a bowling alley that was for sure from around the times of my great great grandsock!!! But we were not going to let that ruin the fun, so the whole bunk together bowled down one lane at the same time!! It was a bit scary trying to make sure the ball didn't fall on my little toe. But I had a great time. And then we went to a candle factory where we were able to make our very own candles by dipping it into different colored waxes.
On Friday, Tznius Bemaase, we had spa day. It was such a relief to finally release the tension between my threads through yoga, massage, and a great medicure!!! I felt like a true shabbos queen...
Whoops, my counselors are saying we must change our socks for Shabbos so I will see you on Sunday...
